 Calendar 2026 & 2025

Last year I created a calendar inspired by concrete poetry, where each month took the shape of whatever it personally meant to me.

This year someone told me their birthday falls on day 99 of the year and I was like: uhh interesting 👁️👄👁️💍 So I decided to design a calendar that includes each day’s number within the year.

It’s a little encoded. Here’s how it works: only the first day of every month has a red letter indicating the month. So if your birthday is on April 10th, you’d first look for the red A for April, then find the number 10 in blue. You’ll see that your birthday would be day 100 of the year, and it falls on a Friday.

Calendar 2025

I’ve been following the path of concrete poetry for a couple of years now, since I discovered Carlo Belloli’s work. I’ve wanted to write something inspired by it, but I haven't yet had the creative spark to do it. However, since I’m good at interpreting concepts in the form of shapes, I decided to make a calendar—which was also on my to-do list.

I thought about it a few times; all calendars are rigid, square, boring (here I'm stabbing myself because I love structure). But they’re also efficient. So, I let myself loosen the functional side a bit to explore the form to balance the situation :)

My friends and I often say that August feels like the Sunday of the year, and September feels like Monday (another strong statement is that Wednesday is the best day of the week because it's almost Friday). This got me thinking about the energy each month carries, and here’s the result.

Shout out to Giovanni for making it interactive! Starting January 1st, the calendar will automatically sync with the current date.
