AboutIn the early days, written language was basically drawings, representations of everyday life. The letter A was originally a house, for example. Over time, the symbols were simplified to make writing more standard and efficient. I wanted to bring back a bit of that illustrated feeling, where letters are more like drawings than simple strokes. So I chose my grid carefully and got to work.

Flexible systemThe project was originally meant to end with the typeface. But because of its modular nature, I decided to expand it into a flexible system built from the letters themselves as the building blocks.
Using transformations such as symmetry, rotation, and translation, I created symbols, characters, patterns, and posters. The typeface eventually evolved into a brand!
