I’ve always been a fan of systems and structure, even in illustration. Sometimes people tell me they look a bit rigid, but I find it fascinating how, with just a few geometric shapes and a couple of rules, you can bring an entire universe to life.

It may sound contradictory, but having a system makes us free. Setting rules allows us to take control of the paths that can emerge from them. Without rules, we are lost, taking any path without really knowing where we’re heading.

In everyday life, it works the same way: having a system makes us more critical, helps us focus on what truly matters, enjoy what we consciously choose, and appreciate what we already have. Far from limiting us, systems give meaning and direction to our experience.
